Day 26! We.are.luuurving.it!!

Hello everyone!

What a great day! Bit hot, I know but isn't it just awesome to be here enjoying Summer and the festive season!

I woke up at quarter to 7 again today and jumped out of bed and went and made up my tonic. I mixed it with water this morning - Mum suggested this last night and I think it's a great idea!

I had a great ole chat to Mum last night and she was veeery keen to tell me aaaall about how she's going, 23 days on.

Mum was VERY keen (more than me, I was very skeptical!) to give this system a go because she was getting a bit worried about her weight particularly, and also her health as a consequence of her weight but she also had indigestion, felt lethargic, sore and aching knees and restless sleeps.

The AWESOME thing is that when she rang me last night, she was SOO full of enthusiasm, excitement and energy because all of these health ailments have either gone away or on the way out!
She hasn't had to take any indigestion pills (she usually has to wake up to take these in the night too); her sore/aching knees are no longer bothering her so she said Christmas shopping was even more enjoyable this year (haha!); she has had energy to spare (been getting up at the crack of dawn - literally, and gardening!) and has been sleeping better than ever!
But the real winner for her is that SHE can see the changes as well - she's soo excited because she's going to feel confident enough to get out her swimmers for our beach holiday (which she didn't do last year!)
She's been trying on trousers that she bought 2 weeks ago (yes, only 2 wks ago!) and they're loose - she said she had to keep hitching them up (not complaining!)
The other amazing thing is that for all of you who don't know my dear Mum, she is not a very disciplined person (she's the first to admit it) when it comes to sticking to a healthy lifestyle - her rubber arm is quite easily twisted when it comes to cheese or cake for instance. That's why I love this system, my Mum is having amazing results and loving it and doesn't feel restricted! This is a lifestyle change not a diet which is why my Dad is using it too! This is THE way to get the healthiest you can and will ever be...I feel blessed! Thankyou to my friend Diana, I owe you a bazillion!!

Anyways back to my amazing Mum - she is soo proud of herself and so she should be!
Last night - she said to me, "I was cooking up the 2 biiig Christmas puddings," and she said, "Usually, I would've had lots of tastes and try's of the mixture, but because I can see results and I'm so happy with how I'm going, I didn't want to have any!" She said, "You would've been SO proud of me!" And I said I am SO proud of you - she's doing amazingly well and just kicking goals. It shows great strength and determination to change and to move towards the things that you really want! If you want them enough, you CAN get there...Good on you Mum! You're amazing!

Honestly, I believe that Mum (along with my dear Dad) are going to be the healthiest, most energetic people of their age that I know and I couldn't be happier that I guided and helped them there!

I've written a lot already today so I won't bore you with my day to day details other than to say I'm going terrifically, feeling great and loving life!
I have tennis tonight so had a little natural energy boost just then, and having a shake for dinner tonight cause I had my meal at lunch. Also I ABSOlutely LOVE the shakes - can't get enough of them (another discussion point mum and I were having last night!) - they are Amazing, with a capital A!

Anyways, hope you're having a lovely day and keeping hydrated! My Dad just popped in on the way home from his little weekend jaunt visiting friends - soo lovely to see him :)

See you all tomorrow for day 27!

It's the Fiiiiinal Countdown...

It's day 24 today! Annnnd I was going to do another cleanse day today but my lovely mother just rang me and is coming for a visit today so I'm going to do it tomorrow instead.
I got up all prepared to smash out a cleanse day so I had some tonic and then was waiting to have my cleanse drink when Mum rang so after I got off the phone, I whipped up a Choccie shake.
I'm pretty excited as well cause I know that I have THEE tool to get through the festive season without succumbing to the usual ick, bloated, stuffed, unhealthy feeling and not gaining the average 0.8-1.8 kg of weight either! It's pretty amazing that you can enjoy life (which is what everyone should do!) but that this amazing system can keep you on track to maintain and keep great health and energy! I'm excited to be starting 2014 in tip top kick-arse condition - cheeeers to that!!!
So after that little tangent...back to my Monday update!
So when Mum got here, we headed off to the shops as she needed to return a few things and get a couple of little things to add to people's pressies. I had packed my little snacks and also went and bought a couple of apples so we had a nibble on those.
We went round to the Health Food Store that I work at which was great. Mum met the others who she hadn't met yet and we picked up some yummy sauces and dressings to add to peoples presents.
Then we went and met my boyfriend for lunch at a nice cafe/restaurant. Mum and I both ordered a yummy salad and my boyfriend had a steak burger. It was fun!

After lunch, mum and I went back to Myer and I got a different organic tea to try. This time I got an apple and cinnamon one. She got a couple of Chrissie presents and then we went back to my house to have a cool drink before mum went home.
We cranked the air con and had some cold water and a little snack while laughing at Ellen De Generes talk about the chaos of carparks at Christmas time.

Then mum set off home - only a few days til we'll be going to my family home so will see Mum again soon and everyone else!
By the way - my Mum is looking great! Her pants are noticeably looser! She's doing amazingly and is smashing me in the Cleanse Days - she's done 3 already and I've only done 2! She's amazing and I'm so proud of how well she's doing and so happy for her, (she keeps thanking me for introducing her to this lifestyle) that she is getting fantastic results and finding great health! Go you good thing! Love you Mum!

I'm going to head off to the gym tonight and smash out some exercise - since being on this lifestyle, I ACTUALLY want to exercise cause I have the energy, soo cool!
Then I'll have a shakey shake shake when I get home and then I might do some study tonight while my boyfriend is studying.

Hope you're all having a FANtastic Monday! I've had such a lovely day! :)

Love Kate xx

Day 22 - YAY!!

Oh my gosh!! Can't believe it's day 22 already!!? How the time has flown!!

I had a lovely day yesterday! Woke up early feeling excited as we were heading off to do our Christmas shopping this morning!
We got up and had a shot of tonic. Then my boyfriend started to cook up some eggs, tomato, mushies and spinach. I then made him and myself a shake to have and then I had my supplements.

Then we headed off to the shops! I might be a little weird in this aspect but I actually LOVE Christmas shopping. I really enjoy finding a present for someone that I think that they will really like, so I often take quite a bit of time beforehand, writing a bit of a list.

I packed a little snack to take with me so I ate that while we were walking round, as well as a little energy boost shot for me to drink.

We were very efficient and knew what we wanted so we bought most of our presents and then separated up so we could get each other's present. I'm reaaaally happy with my presents this year!

My boyfriend picked me up and then we headed off to Bunnings to finish off his shopping. He was a bit overwhelmed when we got there so I suggested he grab a sausie sambo (cause it was lunchtime) to give him a bit of energy plus I know he's a sucker for a sausie sizzle and I knew it'd make this experience much better for us both if he had one haha! It was quite fun trolling around the huge aisles - we ran into a few people and he finished his shopping off.

Then we went home and I made up a shake and then got stuck into wrapping some of my Christmas presents! I bought some really colourful paper and some lime green tape which went with the paper and got to work like a little elf.
My boyfriend watched the cricket while the little elf wrapped up gifts.

At about 3:30 we headed off to his rugby clubs Christmas party down near the beautiful lake here. It was SO beautiful down there and many were out and about enjoying the lovely weather; there were lots of boats, windsurfers and sailing boats - a flurry of activity and colour!

The club had a tent and BBQ set up lakeside and there was a big crowd gathered. As we only moved here in July, we are still just getting to know people but everyone's very friendly which makes it easier.
My boyfriend is getting to know all the guys but I don't really know any of the girlfriends/wives because my boyfriend joined towards the end of the season this year. But, I made friends with a lovely girl who moved here about the same time that we did so is still a newbie too. She was lovely and I just spent the few hours we were there watching the guys play cricket and swim whilst having a great chat to her. It was SUCH a lovely arvo.

Then we headed off home and had a quick dinner (vege, rice, hummus) and then went to the movies to see the second "Hunger Games" movie. It's amazing!! I loved the first one and have actually read the books too!

We had a GREAT but busy Saturday - soo much fun!!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend too!

My 2nd Cleanse Day!

So I know that I've missed a few days since the start of the week (Monday's post) and today's one (Thursday) but have been a tad busy this week!

So here is an update on how my Thursday and my 2nd Cleanse day went. My 2nd cleanse day has been a bit delayed because had to wait for a shipment of my tonic to get here cause I left mine at my boyfriend's brothers house the other weekend and I need it for cleanse days. I also needed a few more of the snacks as they are crucial for the cleanse days too.
So when I got my little box of deelights on Monday morning, I was excited because it meant I could plan to do my second cleanse day this week. I couldn't do it Tuesday as I had to go to preschool and it would make it a bit hard and Wednesday I had my graduation for completing my Certificate III in Children's Services so Thursday it was!!

Me after graduating from my course!

So I woke up yesterday morning, keen to get stuck into my cleanse day - I know you probably think I'm mad - "how can she be excited about a cleanse day?! She must've lost her marbles!!?"
Well, before this amazing system, I probably would've been right there on that bandwagon with you but after experiencing the awesome effects of my first cleanse, I could only imagine how good I was going to feel during and after my 2nd (and obviously 3rd & 4th!) so I was excited!!
I got up and took my cleansing drink then waited awhile and had my tonic and supplements. I had study and work to do throughout the day so I just fitted my cleansing around that. So next I had a little snack and cup of herbal tea. Then awhile later I had a different snack and nibbled on that while I studied.
So basically, without boring you - I cleansed and drank water and had little snacks and tonics and herbal teas throughout the day aaaand you probably think that sounds hard and that I would be hungry etc etc (excuses excuses excuses!) buuut it's amazing!

I actually love cleanse day because as the name might suggest, you feel SO clean! And I had loads of energy - I went out Christmas shopping in the afternoon! I bought a Christmas tree, part of my Mum's Christmas present and got ideas for other peoples pressies so when I go and hit the shops tomorrow, I have a plan!

So all in all, it was a productive day; cleansed - tick; studied/worked - tick; made Christmas list - tick; went to bed early - tick and most importantly, on the way to getting even more healthy - maaaassive tick!!

What a GREAT day!!

See you tomorrow for more fun and cleanse updates,

Kate xx

Day 16!

Hiii cleanse-followers!

Just thought I'd update you on the start of the 3rd week in my 30 day cleanse....aaaand it's going VERY well!

It's going particularly well because I woke up to a knock at the door on Monday morning and got given this box of goodies to prepare for my second cleanse day this Thursday!

I really am noticing each day, a continual improvement in my energy levels and this really is the biggest plus for me!
As someone who has previously had anaemia (iron deficiency), which was soo bad, that I had one (yes just one!) point of iron - since then, I've always felt a bit lethargic and tired.
Even though I am in the healthy iron count range now, I'm still towards the lower end and have always felt a bit bleh! This factor plus a long history of upset tummys (IBS) and migraines led me to my passion for health and wellness.

I basically have tried to learn and teach myself as much as I can, to help myself to heal and get really well because no professional advice I was getting, was solving any problems for me or helping.

So in June of this year, I stopped eating gluten because I had learnt all about the effects of wheat on the body, as well as how it can cause headaches and migraines and can relieve IBS symptoms. So I removed it from my diet to see what happened...and to my utter delight and surprise - no IBS symptoms (thank god) and no migraines (I was having at least 1 or 2 a week!) and I just felt alot better than I had been!

Then in July, I signed up to study Nutrition and become a health coach with an amazing College in New York so that I would have the knowledge and expertise to in turn, help other people heal their ailments and health and create the best, healthiest life that they can.

I absolutely love this course and have learnt soo much interesting and amazing information. Through learning more and more, I have naturally tweaked my lifestyle and how I eat, in the hope of being as well as I possibly could be! The surprising thing was that although I wasn't eating many animal foods and was stocking up on fruit, vege and healthy wholefoods, I just wasn't feeling aaaall that great - not how I imagined a 26 year old should be feeling considering I was eating much healthier than most people would be (aaaand I was putting on weight?!)

Sooo...when one of my friends from Melbourne told me about this amazing nutritional cellular cleanse system that she was using and getting amazing results of increased energy, mental clarity and weightloss whilst clearing out all the damaging toxins and free radicals (they cause inflammation, illness and eventually lead to chronic disease) in her body, I was very interested to hear aaaall about it.

As you can imagine, now that I am actually studying nutrition, I was very skeptical about this system and what actually were in the products. So after I quizzed and quizzed and quizzed my friend and requested to see product information and researched EVERYthing to do with and about this system....I then rang my Mum and told her AAAALL about it. I said how amazing it sounded and that it would be great for her too and she said, "What are we waiting for?! Let's do it!!"

So we signed up and Oh My God (!!!), I am so glad that I didn't let my skepticism get the better of me!!! I am feeling better than ever and I feel like that is getting better everyday!! And Mum is definitely feeling that way too! She has been up and out in the garden before six soo many mornings since she started!
Well I've written alot on this post, not much about my day but I think valueable background information into my story and how I and why I became soo keen to give nutritional cleansing a go. I have well and truly been converted.

Be happy and enjoy today!

My Weekend Away!

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a lovely weekend! Just wanted to update you on my fun weekend away!
I headed off to Sydney on Saturday morning after doing a little shopping with my boyfriend. I got a cheap & (not nasty haha) bright dress to wear just for a bit of fun! I also got some Christmas bits a pieces - reindeer antler headband and some gingerbread and Christmas trees sunnies.
Then I said goodbye to my boyfriend and hit the road. I had my snacks, a couple of apples, water and some of my bars at hand so I could eat on the way.
I got to Sydney at about 3:30 and headed to the house of one of my lovely friends where I was stating the night. I found a park (phew! I get a bit freaked out driving in the biiig city!) and clambered down the street with my things. I spent a great couple of hours chatting with my friend and her lovely housemates, while she baked Christmas delights for the dinner we were going to that evening. She whipped up a Pavlova that would put Donna Hay to shame, as well as a caramel slice and the cutest little red velvet cupcakes complete with piped icing, red sprinkles and a little raspberry lolly like a Santa hat on top! Looked amazing!
Then we got dressed and loaded up with all the goodies and hopped in the car and headed over. It was a pretty funny trip - the cupcakes looked very unstable on their plate on the backseat eeek! When we got there we discovered there had been some casualties! So my friend did a bit of fixing and we headed off down the street with arms full and antlers jingling.
We went into number 31, only to see a little fluffy dog (??) and a then a man come round the corner and say, "Can I help you?" To which we said, "Umm, sorry. Wrong house!"
We unloaded all out goodies onto a wall and checked the address again - our friend had written the wrong address and had recently changed it on the invitation haha.
So we headed off to the RIGHT address and were greeted by lots of familiar faces (thank god!) dressed in Christmas cheer and a beautiful table decked out with candy canes, Christmas list placemats and beautiful big red lanterns hanging in the garden.
We put the desserts inside and headed out to the garden with a festive drink in hand.
We all sat around chatting in the garden for awhile and then sat down to a lovely Christmas Dinner!

It was great fun catching up with everyone and hearing what they've all been up to!
I did give myself a little night off from the cleanse as I don't get to see any of my friends very often but I didn't eat anything unhealthy, the only treat I had was a few glasses of wine over the evening. The funny (or not so funny) thing was that because my body has just been flooded with sooo much goodness and wellness that it couldn't handle it and I started to feel reaaaally sick! Apart from that though, I had a great time!
On Sunday morning, we had a bit of a sleep in which was nice and then just chatted and lazed around. Then I headed off to meet one of my lovely school mates for a cuppa tea at the beautiful cafe she runs with her husband.

It was veeeery busy but we got to sit and have a bit if a chat and then, I just enjoyed my lovely peppermint tea and set off for home.
Considering I had felt soo ill the night before, after my nightly and morning cleanse and supplements, I was feeling fine! Just a little tired from all the driving and a bit of a late night (or early depending on who you are!)
I drove home to my parents and met my boyfriend there. We had dinner with Mum and Dad (Mum was on her second cleanse day & killing it! She's looking amazing! Soo proud of her!), which was lovely and then we set off for home together.
'Twas a lovely, busy weekend but soo great to see everyone and celebrate this awesome time of the year!

Hope you had a great weekend,

Kate xx

2 weeks, done & dusted!

Goooodmorning everyone!

I'm writing this on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning whilst enjoying my Vanilla/Choccie Shake combo!

I've got a little updating to do on my blog as I've been sooo busy the last couple of days, I haven't been very diligent, soz!

So yesterday, Friday 6th - I woke up feeling great again (you must be getting sick of hearing this!) It's amazing how I literally, wake up, feel energized and just soo fricking excited for the day ahead! I got up, had my cleanse drink, then half a serve of my shake and my supplements. Then I headed off for the gym! I got there and was quite excited as I hadn't ventured into a gym in my new town yet! I  sussedq out the room and decided to go with the ole cross trainer first. I did 15 minutes on that and then decide to do 5 minutes on the stair climber. I then moved onto the bikes. I sat down on a bike (gosh the bike seats were comfy, win!) next to an older man. We were both watching the news. I said, "It's so sad about Nelson Mandela!" He agreed and we continued to chat for the...Woaaah, I looked down at my clock and I'd done 27 minutes! Awesome! Making new friends and pumping out 30 minutes on the bike with ease! Then I did a few exercises/stretches and headed back home for the rest of my shake and to get ready for work.
I ate half a bar on the way to work. I also had packed a few snacks and the other half of my bar to eat in the afternoon on my break. I work on Fridays at a really lovely Organic grocer and health food shop. I really enjoyed my day yesterday, I love meeting and chatting to all the different people coming and advising them on different products and things to do for their health. I really love helping people achieve their optimal health - I guess that's why I love this system soo much, cause that's what it does.

In the afternoon, I sat outside in the beautiful sunshine and enjoyed my snacks, half a bar and an apple.
After work, I picked up some lovely organic gifts to take to Sydney this weekend for some friends I'm visiting and also got some Christmas attire to wear to a Chrissie dinner party I'm going to tonight! It should be fun and theee best part is I have some awesome tools to clear away any Christmas toxins tonight and tomorrow! Fist pumping! Haha.
I cooked us up a heap of veggies for dinner and my boyfriend had a couple of sausies with it as well!
He is very keen to start on this system now too as he is seeing the evidence of just how effective it is. He has gone from a huuuuge sceptic to, oh maybe you could sign me up next week haha! He's really interested in the health side but becoming more and more interested in the potential for financial gain that he can also tap into.
It's so funny but he keeps seeing me come out in whatever outfit each morning, and saying "Oh my god!"
To which I'll casually say, "What?"
To which he replies, "You look SOO good!!" (Haha!)
To which I say, "Thanks! This stuff is awesome!"
And he replies, "Yeah it's really working."
Loving the compliments haha!

Anyways, off to the shops now! Already downed my shake! Then heading to Sydney for a little Christmas cheer!

Have a happy, healthy weekend!

Kate xx
